PRESS RELEASE – TRA Expands Retirement Savings Opportunities with Group 401(k) Plans

New E-Book for Advisors Focuses on Plans & Benefits

APPLETON, WI (May 17, 2021) – The Retirement Advantage, Inc. (TRA), an industry-leading third party administrator (TPA) specializing in the consulting and administration of retirement plans nationwide, introduced its new e-book exclusively for financial advisors, The Advisor’s Guide to Group 401(k) Plans: MEPs, PEPs & Aggregation Programs.

The complimentary e-book is an integral part of the firm’s campaign to expand retirement savings opportunities by partnering with financial advisors so that more of their business clients can offer retirement plans.

“It’s no secret that we’ve got to make it possible for more people to save for retirement,” said Trey Galuppi, TRA’s National Group Plan Specialist. “And employers want to provide the benefits that will help them attract and retain talented team members, without losing focus on their bottom lines. Group 401(k) Plans can be the answer to these challenges.”

However, as Galuppi pointed out, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to Group 401(k) Plans. “With the SECURE Act of 2019, there’s been a lot of media focus on the elimination of the ‘one bad apple’ rule for Multiple Employer Plans (MEPs) and creation of Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs),” according to Galuppi. “This is an important part of the Group 401(k) Plan story — but not the whole story.” He added, “For example, another solution we think shouldn’t be overlooked is an Aggregation Program, which can also provide the economies of scale, lessened administrative burdens, and the mitigation of fiduciary risks that make all Group 401(k) Plans attractive versus single-employer plans.”

Advisors will appreciate TRA’s expertise in helping them customize these plan solutions, starting with the company’s free-of-charge Plan Assessments. TRA’s Vice President of Distribution, Jeff Schreiber stated, “At TRA, we’ve had an unparalleled commitment to financial advisors since 1996”. Advisors can trust that we’ll work with them to design cost-effective Group 401(k) Plans tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each client.” Schreiber concluded, “Any advisor looking to promote these types of plans should download our e-book and call us today.”
