      As TRA’s Director of Sales, Jeffrey leads a team of 16 Regional Sales Consultants (RSC’s) and 4 Internal Sales Consultants (ISC’s) focused on growing TRA’s client base. The team is focused on providing best in class consulting services to our record keeping partners’ wholesalers, retirement plan advisors, and their plan sponsor clients and prospects.

      Jeffrey’s emphasis is on strengthening relationships with key contacts at our record keeping platform partners, broker-dealers, and centers of influence as well as developing the team of professionals that work with him.

      Since 1996 Jeffrey has worked in the financial services industry in operations, operations management, sales, and sales management roles, record keeping, DCIO, and third party administration firms.

      Jeffrey attended The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

      As TRA’s National Sales Manager, Erdmann will oversee and manage the company’s sales team activities, assist in identifying new market opportunities and generate additional growth in the company’s defined retirement planning markets.  He is also responsible for the assignment of sales territories, setting of goals, assisting in the closing of new business and establishing training programs for the firm’s Regional Sales Consultants (RSCs).

      Prior to this role, Erdmann has been in the industry the past twenty-three years, eleven of them with TRA as an RSC covering Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and S. California.  An exceptionally skilled Plan Design Consultant, Erdmann has honed his craft in both sales and support roles.  He currently holds his Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS) and Cash Balance Consultant (CBC) designations and resides in Las Vegas, NV with his wife Deb for the past 19 years.

      Allison started in the profession in 1980, working in her Father’s TPA firm in Atlanta, GA. His practice, R. Bruce Tanner & Associates, Inc. became owned by Allison in 2008. They serviced over 300 clients and had 6 employees. Her area of expertise is primarily 401(k) profit sharing plans with an emphasis on safe harbor and new comparability allocations. She has also has been involved in implementing many Cash Balance plans. She maintained the same staff for many years, all of whom now are working for TRA. She especially enjoys helping Financial Advisors & Plan Sponsors set up and maintain successful retirement plans. She also has practiced what she preached to so many!

      Allison graduated from the University of Georgia in 1984 with a degree in English and a minor in Philosophy.

      Allison now lives in the North Georgia Mountains, but continues to service and travel to Georgia, South Carolina, and other states in her territory. Her husband, Del, is an independent representative and has been selling coir fiber door mats for over 25 years. She has a son, Steely, who is an E-sports broadcaster, married in 2022, and lives in Seoul, South Korea. She also has a daughter, Tanner, who lives in Atlanta and previously worked for R. Bruce Tanner & Associates, Inc. for many years and now works at TRA. Allison and her husband love spending time with their 5 angora goats, Great Pyrenes guard dog, 11 Americana Chickens with colored eggs, 3 barn kitties, and two pets, Rocky (Boarder Terrier) and Alshon (giant loving cat) in the mountains, however they love a getaway to their home in the ACE Basin of South Carolina on the Ashepoo River. Gardening and watercolor painting are two favorite hobbies that Allison enjoys when she makes the time.

      Brian is the Regional Sales Consultant for The Retirement Advantage (TRA), a national non-producing TPA firm.       Flynn has worked in the financial services industry for 20+ years with a focus in the retirement plans. He has worked for some of the largest recordkeepers and has a keen sense of the business.

      Prior to joining TRA, Flynn worked for Lincoln Financial Distributors, Ameritas and John Hancock.  He started his career in benefits consulting working on some of the nations largest DB and DC plans.

      Flynn graduated from DePaul University, with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting.  He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and a Cash Balance Consultant.

      Fred started in the profession in 1983. He had his own practice, Fred S. Shapiro & Associates for 23 years before being acquired by TRA. They serviced over 500 clients and had 9 employees. His area of expertise is primarily 401(k) profit sharing plans with an emphasis on safe harbor and new comparability allocations. H also has been involved in implementing many Cash Balance plans.

      Fred has conducted numerous seminars for CPAs, as well as financial advisors in the Mid Atlantic region.

      He graduated from Towson University in 1981 with a degree in Mass Communications, and was the sports director for WCVT – a 10,000 watt campus radio station. After college, he was the public address announcer for Towson Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse.

      Fred now lives in Naples, Florida but continues to service and travel to his Mid Atlantic territory. His wife is a realtor with Royal Shell, The Kimberly Luxury Group in Naples. He has 2 daughters: Madison, who lives in Nashville and works for Redfin as a realtor as she pursues a music career, and Eliza, who works for the Washington Wizards and Monumental Sports in Group Sales. Fred and his wife love spending time with their two mini Aussie Shepherds, which happen to be brother and sister from different litters.

      Livingston has worked in the financial services industry for 30 years with a focus on retirement services for the past 18. His experience is deeply imbedded in recordkeeping, investment analytics and at the plan sponsor level.

      Prior to joining TRA, Livingston helped build the TPA platform during his 10 year tenure at MassMutual. He was part of the team at WisdomTree Investments that created and launched one of the first ETF based 401(k) platforms. As an industry wholesaler, he is credited with helping advisors sell close to $1 billion in retirement plan assets.

      Livingston graduated from Charter Oak College, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and completed graduate studies in Research, Measurement and Quantitative Analysis at SCSU. He is a graduate of the 3-year CUNA Management School at SUNY. He has been a nationally recognized industry speaker and trainer throughout his career.

      Grant and his wife Andrea enjoy time with their family and friends and have three sons.  He is involved in his local community with youth sports and is an active Umpire and Football Official in CT with the CIAC.

      Prior to joining TRA, Noland worked for Heartland Retirement Plan Services and Ascensus selling their retirement recordkeeping services.  Before that, he was at Ivy Investments for 10 years working as their DCIO wholesaler covering the South and Southwest out of Phoenix.

      Noland graduated from Baker University, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Minor in Sociology.

      Jim Rothaus has over 25 years of consultative sales experience in the qualified plan marketplace.  Early in his career as an investment advisor he worked directly with plan sponsors, later, as a Sales Manager for a large insurance company, he brought recordkeeping and investment solutions to investment professionals and TPAs across the country.

      Previously, Spearman served as a Senior Logistics Manager in the United States Air Force, last stationed in southern Oklahoma.       Sean started in the financial services industry in 2006, in his home state of Massachusetts, and his efforts over the years eventually brought him to New York City in 2011. Having held positions in the retirement industry interacting with sponsors, participants, and advisors, he is well rounded in delivering meaningful content and solutions. Whether that be questions around investments in a cash balance plan, best practices for implementing plans in varying industries, or giving presentations to participants, Sean is a valued partner to his colleagues.

      Prior to joining TRA, Sean spent the majority of his career at MassMutual, holding positions in Retirement Education, Business Development, and Platform Sales.

      While Sean’s career began in Massachusetts while attending American International College, he now considers himself a proud New Yorker, residing on the Upper West Side.

      Serving in the Retirement Plan Consulting and Administration Industry for 40 years, Tom started in Defined Benefit Plan consulting when 401(k) plans first emerged in the early 80’s. With degrees in Actuarial Science and Computer Information Services, Tom designed and programmed recordkeeping and administration systems for two companies. With system development experience, Tom provides extensive, in-depth knowledge of pension law and insights into plan design and administration.

      Prior to joining TRA, Tom started his career at William Mercer, followed by two local TPA’s and, most recently, operated his own TPA in St Louis for 16 years, serving clients in Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, and Texas.

      Holstein graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, IA with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with dual majors in Actuarial Science and Computer Information Systems.

      Tom and his wife, Nancy, have four daughters: three in the St. Louis area, one in Iowa, and four grandsons. He is a 25-year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and a member of the Ambassadors Of Harmony, a four-time International Barbershop Chorus Champion.

She has a unique understanding of dealing with Defined Benefit & Cash Balance Plan opportunities in the sales process, as well as the various options New Comparability designs can offer. Her background gives her the ability to help financial advisors navigate the best retirement plan options for their clients and exceed the expectations of potential clients.

      Katherine received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Shippensburg University in 2010. She resides in Lancaster County with her husband and two children. In her free time, Katherine enjoys shopping and beach vacations with family!

      Lynell has been in the Retirement Plan Industry for 27 years, the last 16 with TRA. In that time she has specialized in plan installation procedures, plan design (with a heavy focus on regulatory issues), consultation and sales.

      Prior to entering the retirement plan industry, Lynell was a District Manager for Baskin-Robbins where she assisted entrepreneurs in establishing and developing their successful franchise units.

      Trey joined TRA at the beginning of 2020 and brings a wealth of knowledge through 10 years of sales and marketing experience in the Multiple Employer Plan (MEP) and special markets industry.  He is currently is responsible for TRA sales and marketing as well as product development for special markets including Multiple Employer Plans (MEPs), Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs), Multiple Employer Aggregation Plans (MEAPs) and Exchange Plans. He is passionate about simplifying the complexities and technical aspects of group 401(k) and aggregation plans to help advisors, wholesalers, associations, payroll and PEO companies as well as plan sponsors to design, evaluate and market successful solutions that meet their clients, members and/or employee’s retirement needs.  Trey is enthusiastic about helping advisors and other financial professionals determine the right plan type and design to achieve their specific business goals and objectives.

Bill is also accountable for positioning TRA’s growth strategy, cultivating opportunities in new and existing customer markets, and growing demand for TRA’s products/services. In addition, Bill oversees TRA’s multi-channel marketing plan for sales support, customer acquisition, customer retention, customer loyalty, PR, web management and lead generation. Furthermore, he will ensure the TRA brand is communicated clearly and consistently by TRA associates to our clients and partners.

      Bill has 19 plus years of B-2-B and B-2-C marketing experience; with various positions including Marketing Director, Internet Marketing, Graphic Design and Public Relations. Bill has unique combination of creativity and analytical skills with the ability to assess both vantage points to create desirable solutions.       • Overseeing company social media efforts
      • Promoting and building awareness for new releases of e-books, info sheets, forms, etc.
      • Assisting with the recording and analyzing of KPIs and other metrics
      • Training staff on new technologies and programs
      • Coordinating various announcements and onboarding of new company acquisitions
      • Expanding the collection of helpful internal and external tools and resources

      Travis has 10+ years of B2B and B2C experience, particularly relating to the fields of Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, and Customer Service. In 3½ years, Travis was able to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, and maintains a keen interest in being a great teammate and expanding his skill set.
